Foxtrot Suite v15.1

Always make sure to test all your projects after upgrading to the latest version of Foxtrot RPA! To ensure proper operation, all Foxtrot servers and workstations are required to run the same version. Upgrade the Foxtrot server first, followed by all Foxtrot workstations. Uninstalling will never delete Foxtrot scripts or databases.

Fixes and improvements

The following bug fixes are included:

  • Fixes an issue where using a ‘Botflow Name’ token in an action would fail on a bot.
  • Fixes an issue in v15.1.7 where the ‘Open Data’ action fails.
  • Fixes an issue where Excel actions would fail with an Error “Unable to cast COM object of type 'Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.ApplicationClass' to interface type  ''Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel._Application'” by fixing the Windows Registry for 32 and 64-bit versions of Office 2019 and Office 365.
  • Enhances database support for Foxtrot RPA and FoxHub while using the Access 2016 Redistributable.  (Note: Due to limitations with the Access 2016 Redistributable, Foxtrot Classic and Foxtrot Legacy no longer support accdb Access files.  Both applications continue to support CSV, fixed width text, Excel, mdb and dbf database files.)

Bug Fixes & Improvements

The following bug fixes are included:

  • Fixes an issue where Botflow Reports would show as a blank page.
  • Fixes an issue where attachments in the “Reply” Action would not work if there was a comma in the attachment’s name.
  • Adds double-byte character support for REST action responses.
  • Fixes an issue where List row values with a comma would not show correctly in Excel when exported as a CSV file.
  • Fixes an issue in Foxtrot LE when using an import template file (FFD) to import an Excel file.

  • Fixes an issue where the “Other” delimiter option in Open Data Action was not working.
  • Fixes an issue where Rows couldn’t be edited in Lists when more than seven columns were being used.
  • Fixes targeting issues during execution of botflows run by FoxHub.
  • Fixes an issue where importing data from a .txt file would fail when using a Data Template.
  • Fixes an issue where, in some cases, a bot would show the status of “FoxBot is not installed”.
  • Fixes an issue where emails would be deleted when moving them to a folder with a non-English character.
  • Fixes an issue where FoxHub File Trigger would create too many Queued items.
  • Fixes an issue where choosing LDAP would result in a message saying “The Active Directory Authentication feature is unavailable in your Edition.”
  • Fixes an issue where “Keep Open” option when Adding a row to a list was missing.
  • Fixes an issue where FoxHub would show the message “Warning: This botflow cannot run until it is published.” for botflows that have been published.
  • Fixes an issue introduced in v15.1.4 in which some files were installed on the root drive.

Microsoft Access database engine version

When upgrading to Nintex Foxtrot RPA v15.1.4 from Nintex Foxtrot RPA v15.1.2 or earlier, uninstall Microsoft Access database engine 2010.

Otherwise:

  • Nintex Foxtrot RPA fails to ‘Open Data’ of type accdb and Access 2000 mdb.
  • Data import of CSV and Excel files fail.

The installation for Nintex Foxtrot RPA v15.1.4 automatically installs Microsoft Access database engine 2016.

Important: If you installed Nintex Foxtrot RPA v15.1.4 before uninstalling Microsoft Access database engine 2010, do the following:

Nintex Foxtrot RPA now provides improved support for retrieving email attachment filenames.

Bug Fixes & Improvements

The following bug fixes are included:

  • Fixes an issue where Emulator actions and targeting would fail after first opening Foxtrot RPA
  • Fixes an issue where the Wait for Text action would not error correctly.
  • Fixes an issue where, in some cases, users could not use MySQL databases.
  • Fixes an issue where a Create FTP Folder action would fail.
  • Fixes an issue in Excel where cells with the value of “#N/A” would get changed unexpectedly.
  • Fixes an issue where date operands in an If action were not being evaluated correctly.
  • Improvements to way Nintex Foxtrot RPA scans for and connects to emulators. This fix will lead to a huge decrease in startup time, especially for those customers running on terminal servers.

Enhancement

The If action now supports comparison of Date operands.

New Action

Else If: Similar to the If action, Else If actions work with an If action to provide greater logic capabilities.
